About Ballin...
Ballin is the leading manufacturer and marketer of
better men's dress slacks in North America. Founded as a local interest
in the Montreal area by Charles Balinsky (known to most as Chic Ballin)
in 1946, the company grew under his leadership as it expanded into the
broader Canadian market, always keeping the focus on what they knew
best. This philosophy has dominated Ballin until the present day, and
men's trousers are still its only product.
From the start, Mr. Ballin's focus was quality. From piece goods to
manufacturing and right through to shelf presentation, only the best
would do. Today Ballin boasts a large team of engineers and quality
assurance personnel who work to ensure that quality is foremost in the
minds of all Ballin employees. This forms the starting point for the
product that Ballin is proud to deliver.
Joseph,
Chic's son, has headed Ballin for over 15 years now. Under his
leadership, the company has expanded internationally, and is now a
staple in the better men's business in North America. Distribution has
also recently begun in the UK and Asia. Joseph lives in Montreal, but
travels frequently, working with customers and suppliers on business
ventures throughout the world. His passion has always been the product,
and that is what keeps the whole Ballin team focused on bringing out
the next innovation before others have even conceived of what it might
be.
Joseph's son
Ronald (RonnieB) has been with Ballin for 7 years now, and lives in New
York, where he heads up the Ballin International business. He has
brought a whole new focus on technology and modernity to the company,
which can be felt in all aspects of the business. RonnieB works closely
with his father Joseph today, as the 2 of them lead the company onward
and upward.
