• • True Short-Rise:  Rise refers to the measurement of the distance between a pant's crotch and waist.  Based on 34" waist pant, regular rise is considered a rise of 11" or greater.  "Short Rise" refers to a rise of 10" or less (based on a 34" waist trouser).  Our Ballin trousers feature a 9.75" rise on a 34" waist trouser.
  • Why Short-Rise? If you are generally happy with the fit of your average, department store Khaki pants, aside from the length of course, you are probably okay with a regular rise.  However, if (like many men) you experience bunching and sagging through the seat and thighs, it is probably because the rise on your pants is too long for you and you may eliminate the problem by switching to short rise trousers. 
    
  • Trim Fit:  a slimmer fit through the thighs and legs for a clean, crisp, more professional and lengthening look for the shorter man.
